In Spring 2020, Siemens Gamesa contracted MPI Offshore to carry out a main bearing exchange involving jack-up operations at a specific wind turbine.  

Offshore installation and maintenance vessel MPI Resolution has been deployed to execute the works and in only three operational days, the bearing was safely exchanged. This included removing and reinstallation of the three blades to deck to allow access to the main bearing.  

The success of this project is testament to the teams from both parties onboard the vessel who worked hand in hand to create this successful outcome. 

At this moment the vessel is moored in the Port of Teesside readying itself for her next assignment.
